Hello twitfight loving tweeps, here is todays post:
Sometimes when I see two celebrities engaging in a twitfight, I just
give my elegant "oh well another publicity stunt" smile. Believe me, we are in the
era of Twitter. There was a time when a lot of stress had to be faced
before anyone would make it major in the
entertainment industry, right
now all you need as an entertainer is an online social strategy. Why?
Because most of the people who get entertained by entertainers are
youths who virtually live on twitter. In the quest to gather attention
from the many random people online on twitter, guess what
happens...people start twitfights in a planned way. Somewhat like the
WWE stage managed tactical drama. Some years ago all we had was the news
papers and television shows that let us know about promising young
stars. it was very difficult for us all to get assess to live feed from
our favorite bands, it was very difficult to know the next upcoming act
and how they roll. In fact, I got to know some major acts after they've
spent years in commercial success.
This was because the world wasn't as
linked-together and messed up as it is now, with a lot of twitfights. Now you can
just scroll on your TL and see a jobless teenager re tweet Justin
Beiber, giving him free publicity right your face. This is why I heard
of lil B long before I got to listen to him. You might now want to ask
how a twitfight serves for publicity, it does when the whole twitter
villagers think a really tough rookie with a lot of street credibility
(that's how they all look at first) has enough swagger to be followed.
They think this because he might just have engaged in a twitfight with a
popular name...and perhaps won through popular opinion. Can you now see the stunt in
twitfighting, to get popular and gather followers from everywhere, you
need to twitfight a big name and come out strong. Whatever has the
power to cause chaos also has the power to create brand awareness. Dang,
there you have it, a world full of crazy jobless people looking for
TWITFIGHTS!
